Let It Ride Strategies

House edge and Game's strategy:

The decision of the player highly affects the edge of the casino house in this game as in the games of video poker and blackjack. The above shown standard structure of standard payouts is assumed through the strategy outlined below. The edge of the casino is about 3.5% in ‘let it ride’ with the exact strategy.

Whether making decision regarding letting his first bet, the player

should pull his bet back if he does not have any one of the following:

  • Any hand that pays i.e. a pair of 10s or better.
  • Any 3 cards towards a royal flush.
  • Any 3 suited connectors where there is 3 or above as the lowest card.
  • Three towards spread four, a straight flush along with minimum a single card that is a 10 or higher.
  • Three towards spread five, a straight flush along with minimum 2 cards that is 10 or higher.

Whether making decision regarding letting his second bet, the player
should pull his bet back if he does not have any one of the following:

  • Any hand that pays i.e. a pair of 10s or better.
  • Any four cards towards a flush.
  • Any four cards towards an outside straight.
  • Any four cards towards an inside straight, if the 4 cards are 10 or higher.

A draw towards a straight, which can be completed by 2 different cards, is called an outside straight, like 4, 5, 6, and 7. The straight will be completed by any 8 or any 3. There are 8 cards in the playing card’s deck through which an outside straight draw will be completed.

A draw towards a straight, which can only be completed by a single specific card, is called an inside straight, like 4, 5, 6, and 8. The straight will be completed by any 7. There are just 4 cards in the playing card’s deck through which an inside straight draw will be completed.
